Things You Should Know Before Your First Bridal Appointment

Things You Should Know Before Your First Bridal Appointment

Bridal shopping is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that brides should remember fondly and look back on as a cherished memory. Before you come into the boutique, we prepare for you to have a gorgeous, glamorous experience that you remember fondly. If you’re planning your first bridal shopping appointment, there’s a few things you can keep in mind to ensure your appointment runs smoothly!

Come Inspired, But Open-Minded

We love seeing all the photos of dresses you’ve loved in magazines or on Pinterest! Show us all the gorgeous styles and designs you love. Seeing dresses you like gives us a better sense of your personal style and what you have in mind, so that your consultant can pull dresses you like earlier on in your appointment. That being said, stay open-minded! Often, brides come in with one a certain look in mind and fall in love with something completely different. Be willing to try on one or two dresses you may not have initially been drawn to!

Get Ready

One of the quickest ways a dress can go from an enthusiastic “yes” to a “maybe” is when you aren’t ready for your appointment. There’s no need to get fully glam the way you plan to on your wedding, but a hint of mascara and your hair done instantly changes the way you feel in a dress. It’s hard to envision yourself on your wedding day when you’re seeing the dress with a messy ponytail!

Underwear

When coming to your appointment, you want to see yourself looking as close to what you’ll have on on your wedding day as possible. Any underwear you plan on wearing, you should wear. If you’re not sure, be sure to come in something either nude or white so you can get an idea of what the gown will like on your wedding day without any distractions.

Guests

Please bring your closest friends and family to your appointment! We are more than happy to host your guests, and you’ll love having them there with you when you finally find the dress. However, try to keep the group limited only to those whose opinions you truly value—too many people at your appointment can drown out your own voice, making it harder to make a decision.
